Code review · Official sources reviewed 2026-10-07
Review is a desktop code-review application with line comments, commit-pinned diffs and optional AI reviewers. It can connect to hosted or local models and MCP context sources, then send comments to a pending GitHub review when you explicitly publish them.
Developers reviewing branches or GitHub pull requests who want locally saved comments and control over model choice.
Git must be installed. Downloaded installers were not signed with Apple or Microsoft certificates at review time. AI reviews depend on the selected model and context; inspect every suggested issue before publishing.
Install the appropriate build, open a branch or pull request and inspect the pinned diff. Add line comments yourself or configure a reviewer with the relevant model and context. Check findings against the code, then deliberately publish and submit the GitHub review.
The vendor advertises free downloads for macOS, Windows and Linux. Hosted model billing is separate from the app. Local Ollama or LM Studio models are supported. Comments stay local until you publish; publishing prepares a pending GitHub review, whose submission you control.
